On Tuesday August 27th, Coalinga College hosted a Welcome Back Event in the quad on campus.
Pizza, soda, and water were served during the festivities and clubs and programs set up booths to showcase what they offer to the student community. A few programs there included MESA, TRIO, STEM, the rodeo team, game club, and the Farm of the Future. Activities included chess games with the game club, roping with the rodeo team, giant janga, corn hole, and a whip cream eating contest. Students benefitted from this event by gaining knowledge about how to get involved with different programs and were able to make new friends. This event was great to kick off the year and meet all the freshman, returning, and first year students, and a great way to encourage students to get involved.
