August 31, the SSS/TRiO and CalWORKs program hosted a Welcome Back Prep Event from 3 to 6PM in the Firebaugh Center lobby.
This event was to bring some of our most popular programs together so our members could enjoy some food, play games, and get to know each other. Some of its highlights were our karaoke battles to win free money and, of course, eat tons of free snacks from fried chicken to fruit and chocolate cake. Aside from all the fun, we also received some useful information on upcoming college field trips, transfer application workshops, scholarships, and spring registration. Overall, this event was full of good laughs, meeting new faces, and delicious snacks.
