Hey Golden Eagles! My name is Alexis Tovar and I’m running for ASB President. I’m a first-year Business Economics major here at Lemoore College. I try my best to give my all to our school in various ways. As a testament to my engagement, I’m currently a Student Representative for the Associated Student Body, Secretary of our college’s Phi Theta Kappa Chapter, Sergeant at Arms of the Golden-Eagle Computer Club, Treasurer of a S.T.E.M. Club, and the Founding President of the Golden Eagle Investment Group. In addition to being very active in student organizations, I’m also a Statistics SI (Supplemental Instructor) for multiple professors here on campus. Outside of school and work, I’m a very simple guy. I love to spend time with people I love, travel, listen to music, meet new people, and try new things. In addition to running for ASB President, I’m also currently running for Division IV Vice President of the national honor society Phi Theta Kappa. As ASB President, my main priority is to represent the student voice throughout all of my platforms and boost student engagement. There is nothing more that I’d love to see than my fellow Golden Eagles avidly immersed in the Lemoore College culture. Although I do plan to transfer for the Fall of 2025 and pursue higher education in the field of Business Economics at a university, one thing I will never stop doing is representing Lemoore College. Furthermore, I will never stop representing the Community College student. I hope that with the help of you, the students, we will see our campus transform in terms of engagement and quality. I seek to address and improve upon any flaw that we, the students, feel needs attention. After all, without the Golden Eagles, there would be no Lemoore College.

Hello, my name is Theresa Steele, the current Commissioner of Finance for ASG. I want to be YOUR next ASB President.

In a diverse college environment like Lemoore College, I believe that it is in the best interest of our students to have their voices heard. Emerging from a first-generation family, I was raised on the belief that hard work and persistence will open opportunities that make me a better person and give me the chance to inspire others to seek out opportunities of their own. My passion is helping individuals find these opportunities and use them to help improve their lives.

I have exemplified my hard-working nature in academics through acquiring my AA in Liberal Arts/Social Science. Furthermore, I am currently seeking two additional degrees: Business Administration emphasis in accounting and Criminal Justice emphasis in Corrections.

Beyond academics I recognize the importance of developing our college experience to include entertaining and informational events that will boost student morale and spread college resources to more individuals in need. Such events include the Fall Festival, Trunk-or-Treat, and Social Awareness presentations, as well as Mental Health and Basic-Needs venues.

I promise to serve the students to the best of my ability by continuing to bridge the gaps between students, helping newcomers adjust to our campus, and building an even stronger student voice. You can always find me in the Student Union at the Eagle Help Desk. Come by and say hello and be sure to consider me as your vote for ASB President for the 2024-2025 school year!
