WHCL welcomed Grammy award winning artist and actress Joey Wester!
On August 28, 2018 Grammy Award winning artist Joey Wester came to Lemoore College to discuss her varied career as an artist. Wester presented her personal, but very inspirational life stories and the obstacles she had to climb to reach her dream career. Raffles also took place throughout the event where Wester handed out replicas of her paintings as well as items with graphics that she herself designed, such as t-shirts and guitar picks. Wester’s work has been featured in a wide variety of movies and tv shows and she’s also created content for big name brands. In the end, Joey Wester stuck around to answer any questions and take photos with event attendees.
About Joey Wester
Her paintings have been used on 1000’s of productions such as Scandal, True Blood, American Horror Story, House, Castle and CSI Miami. Her career really began in 1996 after she snuck onto the Sony Pictures lot. She was a member of Set Decorators Society. ‘The Joey Wester Collection’, created for Chromacast, was picked up by Walmart two years ago.
Her music career spanned over 13 years receiving endorsements and scouted by head of talent at Cirque Du Soleil. As an actress she was seen on several TV shows and Music Videos. She has worked with, and photographed, top musicians in the Rock Industry and created ”Rock Legends in Concert” with a 50 piece orchestra.
