West Hills Community College Foundation Seeks Donations for Student Support Fund

West Hills Community College District is committed to the relentless pursuit of student success and, in tough times, even more so.

The West Hills Community College Foundation’s Student Support Fund has been created to help students to overcome the hurdles that prevent them from getting access to education during this trying time. The fund will provide students with funding for everything from groceries to getting a laptop so that they can attend online classes.

“West Hills Community College Foundation created this fund to help our students,” said Alex Perez, Executive Director of the West Hills Community College Foundation. “Our goal is to help those that need technology to finish their degrees. Help students get food if they don’t have any. Help them overcome the barriers they are facing right now to complete their degree. A degree will give them new opportunities in life and we want to give them the chance to do that.”

Donations will go toward the Student Support Fund, which will be accessible to any West Hills College student who applies with an applicable issue.

Students have already begun to utilize some of the existing funding, with dozens of students having already applied.

Donations of any size are welcome.
