2018 District Facilities Master Plan Overview

An overview of the District Facilities Master Plan

The WHCCD Board of Trustees is reviewing a district Facility Master Plan (FMP) which will serve as a road map for new construction and modernization throughout the district.  WHCCD has engaged GKK Works, a planning, design, architectural, and construction firm to provide guidance that will take our planning through 2021.

The FMP is integrated to the goals of the colleges’ educational master plans and will serve to support the district strategic plan through 2020. This plan also allows for the planning and discussion process as it relates to fiscal needs for future bond measures that may be required to execute this plan and appropriately influences future resource allocation decisions.

Incorporation of state of the art technology is critical for the infrastructure as well as HVAC systems to provide the most efficient and effective use of public funds and most importantly provide the best possible access for our students.
