Student Success Stories
During the Fall 2019 term, the WIN Center hosted a workshop for Autism Learning Partners where they spoke about their company's job opportunities and how our students could work as Behavioral Technicians. Through attending this workshop Noelia NaranjoPsychology student Noelia Naranjo (left) and Child Development student Heather Fall (right) applied and were hired. Noelia plans on becoming a school Heather Fallpsychologist and Heather plans to obtain a career where she can work with children who have a learning or developmental disability.

AOJ student Clifton Turner, stopped by the Eagle Closet to get suited up for a job interview with Tulare County Probation.

"For this interview I wanted to make sure I did the best I could do, and by putting on this jacket and dressing professionally it gave me a sense of assurance that I'd land the job."
- Clifton Turner, AOJ Major

CIS Academy Check-Ins
We've begun holding monthly Academy Check-In's for our three Computer Information Systems Academy's here at WHCL - Networking, Cybersecurity, and Programming. Through these events, our Academy students will form a stronger sense of unity, hear from industry representatives, and work on soft skills essential to their future career success.

WBL in the WIN Center
The student workers in the WIN Center have been working on their presentation and public speaking skills through presenting the different WINing Workshops that occur through out the school year. The topics they've been presenting on have included resume writing, Jobspeaker, and Aceing the Interview. This opportunity helps them grow their skill level and also provides them with new skills that they can add to their resumes along with helping them gain more confidence in public speaking.

Stop by room 275 and meet Audra, a  WIN Center Student Worker!
