Certified Nursing Assistant*

If you are interested in making a difference in people's lives, consider becoming a certified nursing assistant.  The West Hills College Lemoore Certified Nursing Assistant program prepares students for the field in just two months by enrolling in our HS 61 -nurse assistant training class

Students interested in enrolling in the WHCL Certified Nursing Assistant class must be at least 17 years of age, pass a physical examination, and pass a drug test and criminal background check. They also must provide a valid TB clearance and acquire a CPR card. 

Students studying in the West Hills Certified Nursing Assistant program will learn laboratory skills and be provided with in-hospital training.  Upon completion of this program, students will be prepared for the certification examination. 

Once the NATP/CNA application period states "Open" with dates included, applications may be downloaded or picked up at 555 College Ave., Lemoore, CA, in the 800 building Room 823, during office hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. All applications MUST be completed in their entirety prior to submitting. All applications need to be verified with the Lemoore Health Careers Office Staff. The application verification process typically takes 20 minutes. An incomplete application may result in the inability to start the program.

Notification: Due to an overwhelming response to the C.N.A. course and to limited space, the first 30 students who submit completed applications will be registered into the course. However, we will also accept 10 alternate student applications (to be completed if accepted into the course on space availability) which will be placed onto a waiting alternate list


Due to ongoing CoVid-19 developments, we will only be accepting paramedic applications online. Please scan all required application documents along with UNOFFICIAL transcripts from every college attended and email to healthcareerslemoore@whccd.edu . Once accepted in the program, you will need to provide official transcripts to the Health Careers office.

* This program option is not eligible for federal student aid funding. Students who pursue this program option may seek financial assistance from the California Promise Grant which can help pay for enrollment fees if eligible.
