Our categorical department consist of the following student support programs, which helps students STAY STRONG: CalWORKs, DSPS, EOPS/CARE and Veterans Upward Bound. These programs offer specialized student support services which can include counseling, tutoring, academic accommodations, travel assistance, financial assistance in the form of grants, school supplies and much more.

  • EOPS Application deadline for fall 2019 is September 2, 2019. Must be received in room 270B before 5 pm.

CalWORKs – Rm 270B

Provides services to students receiving cash aid from any county welfare agency

Services: Counseling, childcare assistance, paid work-study, school supplies, etc.

Referrals received from Kings County Human Services Agency

Provides equal access to learning and the college experience for students with disabilities.

Services: Counseling, academic accommodations, assistive technology, tutoring, etc.

Provides services to help low-income and educationally disadvantaged students gain access to and successfully complete a program of higher education

Services: Counseling, book vouchers, bus passes, gas cards, grants, etc.

Veteran’s Upward Bound – Administration (100)

Prepares military Veterans to enter, be successful and to graduate from college.
