Congratulations! You’ve made it to the third step of the admissions process. At West Hills College Lemoore, we require all new and incoming students to participate in placement testing and orientation prior to registering for classes.
For your convinience, we offer students an online orientation available through our myWestHills student portal
To start your online orientation, please click on online student orientation below and log on using your myWestHills student account. If you do not have a myWestHills login, please complete an admission application first.
Placement testing is available to returning, continuing and new students. The testing center is in Building 400, Room 467.
All new students who are seeking a degree/certificate, and have never been to college before, must take placement tests in Reading, Writing, and Math before being allowed to register for classes.
Due to limited seating, we ask that all students schedule an appointment through the student portal or call (559) 925-3373 or (559) 925-3388 to be sure space is available at the time requested. Appointments can be scheduled 2-weeks in advance. Students without appointment times may be unable to test on a drop-in basis, depending on test station availability.
Students must first complete the Admission Application before they can make an appointment for a placement test. When scheduling an appointment, please allow up to 3 hours for testing sessions:
- Reading Comprehension (30 minutes)
- Sentence Structure & Grammar (20 minutes)
- Sentence/Syntax Skills (15 minutes)
- Math (45 minutes) (Students will choose level of math at the time of the test)

Students who have completed placement tests can see their scores on the student portal. Go to the myWestHills portal and in the Student Section click on the Test Score Summary link.
**Please be advised: Your test score results will be posted in your portal after 48 business hours (Holidays, weekends, blackouts or equipment failure will mean this will take more time.)
