Updated COVID-19 Response Timeline

March 20, 2020 – January 3, 2021 (**Updated September 16, 2020**)
In response to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, the West Hills Community College District has adopted a number of changes in order to ensure the safety of our students, staff, faculty and community.
All campus and District Office buildings continue to provide limited public access by appointment. Only essential, critical staff designated and directed by their respective College President or District Executive Administrator will be on campus or at the District Office during the period of remote operations to provide essential, critical services. March 20, 2020 – January 3, 2021
• All campus and District Office buildings continue to provide limited public access by appointment.
• Only essential, critical staff designated and directed by their respective College President or District Executive Administrator will be on campus or at the District Office working staggered shifts during the period of remote operations to provide essential, critical services. While on site, employees are expected to follow the current state guidelines of social distancing and mask wearing.
• Student resources (see below) will be available online via Zoom or via phone or by appointment in special circumstances.
• All events scheduled to be held at any West Hills site continue to be cancelled until further notice.
• All child development center operations have been suspended through December 31, 2020.
August 13 – December 18, 2020 (Fall Semester)
• The majority of fall classes will be delivered through virtual, online delivery modalities. Some lab classes to be available with limited face to face interaction.
• All athletic competition, as directed by the California Community College Athletics Association (CCCAA), postponed for Fall 2020 and moved to Spring 2021.
• Student resources will be available online via Zoom or via phone or by appointment in special circumstances.
• Please note: Services for students, including in-person appointments, building access, and other services, may be available should public health conditions permit.
January 14 – May 28, 2021 (Spring Semester)
• Flex Day (January 14, 2021) and Professional Development Day (January 15, 2021) activities for employees will be held via a virtual format (i.e. Zoom) or, if permissible, on ground at the West Hills College Lemoore Golden Eagle Arena
• Spring semester instruction begins January 19, 2021.
• The majority of spring classes will be delivered through virtual, online delivery modalities. Some lab classes to be available with limited face to face interaction.
• Student resources will be available online via Zoom or via phone or by appointment in special circumstances.
• Please note: Services for students, including in-person appointments, building access, and other services, may be available should public health conditions permit.
