COVID-19 Response Timeline - Update: December 15, 2020

March 20, 2020 – April 4, 2021 (**Updated December 15, 2020**)
In response to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, the West Hills Community College District has adopted a number of changes in order to ensure the safety of our students, staff, faculty and community.

All campus and District Office buildings continue to provide limited public access by appointment. Only essential, critical staff designated and directed by their respective College President or District Executive Administrator will be on campus or at the District Office during the period of remote operations to provide essential, critical services.

March 20, 2020 – April 4, 2021

  • All campus and District Office buildings continue to provide limited public access by appointment.
  • Only essential, critical staff designated and directed by their respective College President or District Executive Administrator will be on campus or at the District Office working staggered shifts during the period of remote operations to provide essential, critical services. While on site, employees are expected to follow the current state guidelines of social distancing and mask wearing.
  • Student resources and services (see below) are available in a virtual format, via phone, or by appointment in special circumstances consistent with public health guidelines.
  • Child Development Centers in Coalinga, Lemoore, and Huron will open on January 19, 2021. All other sites remain closed through the Spring 2021 semester.


January 14 – May 28, 2021 (Spring Semester)

  • Flex Day (January 14, 2021) and Professional Development Day (January 15, 2021) activities for employees will be held via a virtual format (i.e. Zoom)
  • Spring semester instruction begins January 19, 2021.
  • The majority of spring classes will be delivered through virtual, online delivery modalities. Some lab classes to be available with limited face to face interaction consistent with public health guidelines.
  • Student resources and services are available in a virtual format, via phone, or by appointment in special circumstances consistent with public health guidelines.
  • Please note: In-person appointments, building access, and other services may be available should public health conditions permit.
