The Irrigation Engineering Technology Program at WHCC prepares students for careers in irrigation sales, installation, and design and operation. Students will learn computer aided drafting skills, irrigation management, and evaluations and design. All classes in the irrigation Engineering Technology Program are designed to align with the Irrigation Association's certified irrigation designer (CID) certification and certified agricultural irrigation specialist (CAIS) certification.
Students enrolled in the West Hills College Coalinga Irrigation Engineering Technology Program will study at the WHCC Farm of the Future, which sits on 213 acres and provides students majoring in agriculture a real world physical lab setting.
