On Friday August 31st, Coalinga College Falcons football competed in their first game of the season against the Diablo Valley Vikings.
Despite the Vikings' larger roster size, the Falcons pulled through with a win. The final score was 35-29. The stands were filled with students, staff, and members of community; who needs a cheer squad when you have such supportive fans?
The concession stand was run by the WHC Softball team to raise money for their upcoming season. They served many different beverages and delicious Tri-Tip sandwiches.
Shout out to all of the Falcon football players. Their first week was an amazing success! Good luck on next week's game in Shasta on September 8th at noon.
