WHCC Dia de los Muertos

On November 1st our Camp and Hep programs hosted a Dia de los Muertos event.

The event was cohosted by ASB,  MESA program, Trio Club, Mosaic Club, Game Club, UB Program, and International Students Program. Dia de los Muertos is a Mexican holiday where people make altars and place pictures of their loved ones who have passed away, along with other objects such as food and toys. They make these altars as a way to remember and honor their family members and friends. The event had two contest: sugar skull face painting and altar displays. There was different games, foods, drinks, and activities for everyone who came. Sunnyside High School’s dance team even came out from Fresno and preformed several different dances. Thank you to everyone who came out and celebrated the life our loved ones once lived.
