WHCC TRIO Orientation

On Wednesday August 15th, the TRiO/SSS program held a luncheon orientation to welcome back new and returning members to school.

They informed the students of everything they needed to know before beginning this Fall semester at WHCC. For those who don’t know what TRiO/SSS is, its a student support service that is available for low income, first generation, and disabled students. It provides academic support and guidance to help WHC students in obtaining a certificate, degree, and transfer to a four year college.

At the orientation, officials went over important information including the qualifications that students must meet in order to be in the program.

They also covered the different services they offer. To name a few, there is academic advising, book resources, campus tours, career planning, and many more.
