Our Gold Star Partner of the Month is Eric W. Verheul, P.T. Physical Therapy/Peggy Verheul, P.T. Physical Therapy. The business includes physical rehabilitation centers in Hanford and Lemoore and has been serving the local area since 2011. For the past 5 years, they have partnered with Lemoore College to sponsor paid internships for students interested in the field of physical therapy.
They sponsor student interns a few times a year and have so far sponsored approximately 25 to 30 interns.
"The internship gives students an opportunity to learn and helps our growing practice," said Lori Bettencourt, Office Manager. "What we like about this partnership is that we get excellent students with good work ethic, who are willing to learn. We have two physical therapy clinics in Lemoore and Hanford and it’s nice to have a partnership with West Hills and to be able to help educate and teach these students about the different career choices available to them. "
Previously, the business has also partnered with WHCL for classroom guest speaking opportunities, Biz Chats through the Lemoore College WIN Center, and as a scholarship donor.
