What do Geographers do?

Geographers study nature and how it affects those that live in a certain area. They study how one environment is reflected in and shapes the culture of an entire society. A geographer also studies the Earth’s surface and maps out each detail. They research climates, soil, landforms, plants and animals, and other aspects of a region using a GIS computer system and use that information to create or modify diagrams, maps, and graphs. Geographers also have the opportunity to teach this subject at a school.
