Amazingly, it has been one year since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and our shift to primarily remote and online operations. We know it has not been easy for you and have great admiration for how you have endured these unprecedented times in our nation. You continue to be our inspiration. Even in the midst of our busiest days, we should make sure to take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate what we have been able to accomplish by working together with you under extraordinary circumstances.
For several months, planning has been underway for the Fall 2021 semester. Encouragingly, COVID-19 cases in our region are on the decline and vaccinations are being rolled out in our communities. At the same time, we know that it will still be some time until our entire campus communities are eligible for vaccines and it is likely that social distancing requirements will still be in effect in Fresno and Kings counties at the start of the 2021-22 academic year. While there are still many questions that will need to be answered in the weeks and months ahead, we are gaining more clarity on some of what to expect for the Fall:
Fall Instructional Schedule:
Our Summer 2021 and Fall 2021 class schedules are live on our website. You will see our Fall 2021 schedule includes a hybrid mixture of both online and on-ground classes and more on-ground classes than this semester! Expanding on-ground offerings will include ‘impossible to convert’ career education programs as well as a small number of exceptions where classrooms allow for maintaining social distancing while not reducing course access for students. Depending on which of our colleges you choose, in-person classes (on-ground, traditional hybrid or our latest innovation called high-flex) will exceed 50% and up to 70% of the total classes being offered across our three campuses. If there are substantial changes to regional public health conditions in the weeks leading up to the start of the semester, we will reassess and make adjustments as necessary.

Don’t forget our summer session begins on June 1, a great way to get a jump start on your educational goals. As a reminder, information about our plans and other resources for you can be found on our COVID-19 student webpage. Most importantly, don’t forget you can also register for Spring 2022 semester because of our innovative Reg365, where you can enroll in courses for the entire year.
