LIFE Program The L.I.F.E. program operates After School Programs at 8 school sites in the cities of Lemoore, Kettleman, and Avenal. Program staff, called Activity Leaders, provide educational and enrichment activities for students in grades K-6th and high school. The typical program day consists of a homework help and reading session, snack and recess period, and program electives ranging from math, SRA and Scholastic Reading programs, Cooking, Drama, Arts n Crafts, Science, and Game Day Sports program to name a few. At our lone High School site located in the city of Avenal Activity Leaders facilitate and or assist with the following clubs: Academic Center, Robotics, LIFE Productions, Intramural Sports, Computer Class, Yoga, Creative Dance, Industrial Maint., etc. Each program starts as soon as school ends each day and runs until 6:00 p.m. The starting salary starts at $9 for students who have a high school diploma and have just started their college career, $10.50 for students who have at least 48 units, and tops out (currently) at $13 per hour for Site Supervisors, and highschool academic specialists. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone considering a career in teaching as each Activity Leader is assigned a class of 20 students. Even if you are not planning to teach, but like to work with youth and would like to earn some extra cash this would be a great opportunity.
