Although assistive technology is increasingly available in campus labs, there is a laboratory on campus, which is more directly tailored to training in assistive technology. This highly individualized lab is located in room 270. This lab is accessible to students who qualify for services through DSPS. Students receive instruction on hardware and software computer access. Students with disabilities and accommodation needs can utilize this lab to assist with college assignments that require a computer to develop proficiency with assistive technology.
Examples of assistive technology available include; screen readers, screen magnification software, alternative input devices, spell checkers, speech synthesizers, word predictors and more. You are welcome to arrange a visit to learn more about this program.
