Last semester, I had a hard choice to make: buy food or buy textbooks. Since I didn’t have $250 to pay for a textbook, I didn’t buy it. That made following along in class and studying for my finals a nightmare.
But this semester, things are really different. I’m taking a class that uses Open Educational Resources, including a zero cost textbook. That means I didn’t have to pay for an expensive book for class. Instead, I just had to go online to the link my instructor gave me and download a free textbook.
Now, I can take the textbook anywhere and study anytime and I didn’t have to worry about money this semester.
The great thing is, Lemoore College is one of the only schools around here with zero cost textbooks and since there are so many classes with free textbooks being added every semester, I know I’m going to take as many of them as I can.
