Last semester I didn’t buy most of my required textbooks. I couldn’t afford to spend $600 on extra materials on top of my tuition. I felt unprepared and almost dropped my classes.
I found out this semester Lemoore College offered Open Educational Resources classes. These classes use zero cost digital textbooks.
In my OER classes am able to access what I need for my class anywhere – on my phone or my laptop. Digital texts are so convenient and easy to use; they are much more interactive; now I am reading online text, watching videos, and reading articles all related to what I am learning in class.
I find it easier to process and learn using OER materials. You can register for zero cost textbook courses too! Lemoore College has made it really easy to find.
