WHCL GED Graduation 2018

Lemoore College hosted a ceremony for GED program graduates on May 24

On May 24, Lemoore College hosted their first GED Graduation. This special event started out with the graduates walking out to the traditional graduation song “Pomp and Circumstance”.

Once all the graduates were seated, Dr. Clark opened up the ceremony by congratulating the students on their success in the program. Tiffany Rogers, an alumna of the program, came and spoke to the students about how the program helped her. Tiffany will be graduating from Lemoore College with an associate degree in Business on May 25 which is a huge accomplishment and example of what the graduates can do in their next education steps.

Chrystina Garcia, the graduation speaker, thanked all those who helped her and her fellow students to get them to graduation. Amber Tidwell, GED Instructor, started the presentation of certificates and diplomas which Mr. Preston announced. Once all the certificates and diplomas were handed out, Sue Warner, Dean of Educational Services, said a few words and presented the turning of the tassels by the graduates.

It was a very proud moment for all the graduates and families that attended. Congratulations to the Graduates and good luck on your future endeavors!
