Qualified applicants are always encouraged to apply!

Tutors must meet the following requirements:

• Complete an application to tutor (download here or also available at the front desk in the library)
• Earn an "A" or "B" in the classes you wish to tutor or receive recommendation from instructor
• Be enrolled in at least 6 units during the semester
• Have completed or be concurrently enrolled in EA-55 (a 1.0 unit on-line tutor training course)
• Attend scheduled tutor workshops

Tutors are hired on the basis of the above requirements, demonstrated responsibility and the amount of requests for tutoring in the subject area. Also, tutors should enjoy working with other students. Students may also tutor in a course in which they are currently enrolled with a favorable instructor recommendation.
