The West Hills College Associate Degree Nursing Program anticipated start date of August 11, 2008.
PLEASE NOTE: Applications are no longer being accepted for this fall. The next anticipated start date is Fall '09.
NURSING APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS complete the following prerequisite-nursing courses:
PLEASE NOTE: "In progress" courses are not accepted. All pre-requisite nursing courses must be completed prior to applying to the program.
Degree Requirements (not required for admission) in addition to the above subjects:
* Nutrition 1 * Psychology 1 (General Psychology) * Sociology 1 (Introduction to Sociology) * Math 63 (or higher) * Chemistry 2A (Introduction to General Chemistry) * Communication 1 (Speech) *Humanities Elective 3 units * Physical Education 2 units (for anyone under 21 years of age)
Have a minimum of overall 2.5 GPA in all completed college work.
Have a minimum of a grade of C in all prerequisite nursing courses, and have not repeated any class more than once.
ATI-TEAS Test (Assessment Technologies Institute Test of Essential Academic Skills) score minimum 67%, to be eligible for selection into the WHC nursing program. Testing will be at the expense of the applicant. Testing times and dates will be announced after the application deadline.

Disclaimer: Prior to enrolling applicants, WHC Nursing Program will require accreditation approval from WASC (Western Association of School and Colleges). We anticipate this approval in Spring 2008.
