The Community Education Program is designed to offer courses that will meet the non-academic needs of the community. These courses are not-for-credit classes offered in addition to the college's academic program. As a subsidiary component of the West Hills College Lemoore’s Foundation, the program, still in its infancy, strives to create and offer a variety of exciting courses that are of interest to the community we serve.
What we offer . . .
Classes Offered by Community Education . . .
take place in stimulating and friendly learning environments on and off-campus. They are taught by experts who bring their expertise and practical hands-on experience to the classroom. They do not require admission to the college as a regular student, tend to be evening or weekend classes, and may require multi-hour workshops, but most importantly, they do not involve exams or grades
But…is this Community Education Program for me?
Yes! The Community Education Program provides courses of interest to ALL AGES. These courses do not have academic requirements, grades, or transcripts. These services are offered in addition to the College’s instructional program and target those who are interested in a hassle-free education with their primary focus on learning or participating in fun activities. College credit is NOT given for courses or activities conducted by this program.
So…what are the Course Fees?
Unlike the academic programs, Community Education is not funded by taxpayers’ dollars and registration fees pay for all costs associated with the courses. The fees vary from course to course.
