The financial aid department at the Coalinga campus has a new team member. Leticia Lopez joins the district as a financial aid coordinator. She is a graduate of Wellesley College with a bachelo'rs degree in sociology and Spanish. Leticia previously worked at Central Valley General Hospital as the rural health marketing coordinator for the Central Valley Health Clinic. Leticia is from Avenal and understands the community and population we serve in our district.

Elaine Sloan, at the district office, will soon be planning her big day-she is getting married to Gary Howard. Gary, who is from Avenal, works for Chevron as an artificial lift specialist. Elaine and Gary met through a mutual friend in October 2005 and have been together for a year and a half. They have not set a date.
