Pentagon worker on 9/11 will speak at West Hills College Coalinga ceremony

Student government officials at West Hills College Coalinga have established a tradition of observing 9/11 with a ceremony with speakers who had personal experience on the day that the U.S. was attacked by terrorists.  This year will be no exception.

Lt. Col. John G. Cotter was serving at the Pentagon the day Al-Qaeda terrorists flew a Boeing 757 into the military complex.  All 77 people on the flight were killed along with 125 people at the Pentagon.  He will speak on Sept. 11th at WHCC at noon.

He is currently the wing antiterrorism officer at the Fresno base of the California Air National Guard.  He started his career as an enlisted aircraft mechanic on the F-106, KC-135 and B-52 aircraft.
