Tuition Payment
The
current International Student tuition/fee rate is $209.98 per
credit hour (plus $100 per semester nonrefundable processing fee).
International Students at West Hills are required to pay projected
tuition and fees for their first semester after the first week of
school. Students can pay tuition with Travelers checks, by Visa
or MasterCard credit cards, or by personal check. It is most convenient
to bring money from abroad inTravelers checks and through credit
card services.
Residence Halls
A room deposit and a signed residence hall contract is required of all International
Students two weeks after the start of the semester. It is strongly recommended
that you obtain health insurance before arrival. However, if you are unable
to purchase it before you arrive, health insurance can be obtained in the residence
hall.
Registration
International Students are required to enroll in a minimum of 12 credit hours
per semester to maintain full time status according to the terms of the F-1
student visa. During the required International Student Orientation Program,
all students will be tested in English and will meet with an academic advisor
to determine class placement, choose courses and arrange schedule. Intensive
English Language Program courses are priced at the same level as regular college
courses. ESL classes will be required of students who are not fluent in English.
Housing
All International students under 25 years old are required to live on campus
in the Residence Halls for at least one year.
Expenses
The following is a minimum estimate of costs for an academic year (fall and
spring only) at West Hills Community College. Remember that this is a minimum
estimate and some students may need to plan for additional costs. These estimates
cover 24 units of instruction only. These figures are only estimates.

Tuition and initial housing cost must be paid before the first day of instruction.
Students must plan to have at least $6,989.76 available per semester to
fully cover the expense of studying at the college and living on campus.
Summer semester is not included in the above estimates.
