ASB President

Pedro Jurado
|
My name is Pedro Jurado and I am the 04/05 ASB President here at West Hills College Coalinga. I was born in 1985 in Chihuahua, Mexico in a ranch just outside of Ciudad Juarez. I came to California only three months old. I lived in San Joaquin and then moved to Avenal where I graduated as a Buccaneer in 2003.
Now I hope to graduate with an A.A. in liberal arts and a certified C.O. as a Falcon and ultimately with an M.A in counseling as a Bulldog. My life has been hard but it has taught me good lessons, treat people with respect, take pride in what you do, and always finish what you start strong. These are the rules of my life. Coach Savage once said “Bury your roots and be known, not for who you are, but for the things you have done right”. History remembers those who have done right and fought with the odds against them. Win or die they pushed on. Like them we must push on and better our world which is our community and our college. We must finish what we start, and finish we shall.

ASB Secretary

Hillary Davis
|
My name is Hillary Davis this will be my second year at West Hills. I am a Coalinga High School graduate. I was ASB secretary my junior year at CHS. I graduated from CHS with honors and as a Valedictorian. Because I am a lifetime member of CSF, I am attending West Hills with the President’s Scholarship. It has truly been a blessing. Currently I am finishing up all of my transferable general ed. I plan to graduate from West Hills in the spring with my AA in Liberal Arts and quite possibly Psychology and Performing Arts. I am very involved with play production here at West Hills. I absolutely adore theatre. I am a member of our college FCA and I am also Secretary for Alpha Gamma Sigma. In March I began working in Financial Aid. Simply put, I am everywhere. This year as your ASB Secretary I look forward to keeping you informed and ASB organized. I plan to post all of our meeting’s minutes via the website. I’d also like to keep all of the ASB pages on the West Hills website up to date. This way, students, community members, administration, and faculty members alike can have easy access and learn what’s happening here at WHC.
