The One Stop System provides universal core services as well as access to other programs and services available from partner agencies including the Employment Development Department, Department of Rehabilitation, Proteus, Inc., Fresno County Economic Opportunities Commission, Department of Social Services, State Center Community College District, Fresno Adult School, Clovis Adult School, Fresno Unified School District, West Hills Community College, and Fresno Housing Authority.
Guided by the One Stop principles of universal access and customer choice, the One Stop system offers lifelong, universal access to informational and self-directed core services. Staff assisted services, such as individual assessment, job search, and employment assistance, are also available to persons who register for these services at the Workforce Career Centers.
Intensive services such as comprehensive assessment, individual employment plans, career counseling, and case management are available to persons unable to obtain and retain employment as a result of receiving core services. These services are also available to employed workers who have not reached a level of economic self-sufficiency. Staff is also familiar with college requirements and are able to guide students/clients through the college/private school systems to ensure they receive the services they are seeking.
Training may be available to individuals who are unable to find and retain employment for self-sufficiency as a result of core and intensive services. These services include occupational skills training, on-the-job training, and customized training.
Supportive services may be available for adults to enable them to participate in core, intensive, and training services, based on the need of the student/client.
Customers will be able to access Workforce Connection services at the West Hills College Coalinga Workforce Connection Career Center or throughout the Westside of Fresno County satellites locations.
Satellite locations may not provide all of the services available at West Hills College Coalinga and North District Center Workforce Connection Career Centers, but, they will be able to provide you with information regarding Workforce Connection services and how to access them.
Workforce Connection services are made available through Workforce Investment Act (WIA) funds and other partner agency funding sources.
