Associate's Degree General Education Requirements
Fulfillment of West Hills College General Education is a requirement for Associate of Arts (AA) and Associate of Science (AS) degree programs.
Transfer Studies Certificates
West Hills College offers courses that satisfy university lower-division General Education requirements, and awards two different certificates for Transfer Studies. Completion of a Transfer Studies certificate prepares students for transfer to in-state universities, and is a required component of any Associate Degree for Transfer program (AA-T, AS-T).
California State University (CSU) General Education
The California State University Transfer Curriculum fulfills all lower division general education requirements at all CSU campuses. Foundation courses must be completed with a grade of C or better.
Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC)
The Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum fulfills all lower-division general education requirements at all CSU and UC campuses. IGETC is accepted by some private/independent or out-of-state universities. IGETC courses must be completed with a grade of C or better.
