Coalinga College’s Falcons Football team helped Sunset Elementary students get in the Christmas spirit on Dec. 6, helping out with Sunset Elementary’s Winter Wonderland event.
The team brought 15 players to the event, along with Coach Justin Berna, to help with the various activities available for Sunset Elementary’s students: game stations, cookie decoration, writing letters to Santa, and more.
Coach Berna said he was approached by a staff member at Sunset Elementary while the team was doing another good deed this past October, helping out at CoalingaFest.
“She said that last year they didn’t have enough help for this event and asked if we could help,” he said. “We said we’d love to. It’s fun to help the kids and help Coalinga.”
