J.L. Buchanan begins his 2nd full season as pitching coach for the Falcons, and has worked as a full-time coach, recruiter, and private baseball instructor out of Greeley, Colorado. J.L spent the two years prior to coming to West Hills College, coaching with Greeley West High School, Greeley Gojos, the Greeley Grays, as well as a Seattle Mariners scout team during the fall seasons. J.L. Buchanan was a graduate of Greeley West High School, who moved on to play his collegiate baseball at both Trinidad State Junior College and Colorado Christian University. Throughout college, J.L. was a one time all-region player, two time all-conference selection, and a four time all-academic award winner. Buchanan totaled over 40 homeruns, 50 doubles, and 200 RBI's by the finish of his collegiate career. J.L. went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Colorado Christian University as well as completing his Masters Degree in Coaching and Sports Science from the University of Northern Colorado.

Kolt Canaday begins his 2nd year as infield coach with the Falcons in 2015. Kolt graduated from Sonora High School, in Sonora California, in the spring of 2008. After redshirting at CSU Stanislaus in the spring of 2009, he transferred to Feather River College, in Quincy California. Accepting a scholarship to Simpson University, in Redding California, he suffered a shoulder injury and took a few years off. In the fall of 2012, he transferred to West Hills College where he played baseball and would eventually graduate in the spring of 2013 with a degree in Liberal Arts.

Kevin comes to the Falcons to work with catchers and outfielders. Kevin played high school baseball for Coach McGovern in '04-'05 at El Camino High School in South San Francisco, CA. After graduating, Kevin started two years behind the plate at Canada Junior College in San Mateo, CA. He recently received his kinesiology degree from Cal State Monterey Bay.
