Subject: RE: CD 50 Hi Kevin, I called the Teaching Strategy Incorp. (1-800-637-3652) this morning, and they said that the textbook, Creative Curriculum for Family Child Care, is still available. She went on to say that a new edition will be out shortly. Our department has agreed that CD 19 is no longer needed. The reason behind this is that the Family Day Care class is not part of any state permit, and is not needed by students to receive their certificate or degree through the college or the state. It is a basic skills class for those people that operate a family day care or are wanting to start a family day care. I hope this helps...please let me know. Thanks Kevin! -----Original Message----- From: Wilds, Kevin M. The committee tabled the class to ask you a couple questions about the class. One question was to about the textbook. Matt checked the textbooks and saw that they were out of print. Are you sure you can still get that textbooks? Are you sure you want to get rid of CD 19. The committee wants to know because the course is already articulated to other colleges and we want to be sure you want to give that up. The last thing is that Matt wants you to come by the library or email him and check to see if he can help you get any materials for the course in the library. I think that was it. Let me know and have a good day. Kevin Wilds Political Science Instructor sooner or later you're going to realize, just as I did, the difference between knowing the path...and walking the path
