Increase our involvement in community activities.
Encourage community groups to visit the campus and appropriately utilize the facilities.
Increase dialogue and interactions with area high school principals, counselors, and teachers.

Continue to foster a stronger relationship with the media.
COUNCIL RESPONSIBILITIES:
PURPOSE: To share and discuss emerging trends which affect College operations and student learning.
1. COUNCIL RECOMMENDATIONS
- Receive monthly reports from the Dean of Student Learning, Dean of Learning Resources, the Associate Deans of Student Learning, and the Director of Maintenance and Operations.
- Accept and discuss update reports when appropriate from the :
Marketing Director
Director of Information Technology Systems
Director of District Enrollment
Director of Grants
Director of Institutional Effectiveness, Planning and Web Services.
- Review recommendations from the College Consultation Council.
2. ACCREDITATION
- Review recommendations from the College Consultation Council during the accreditation self study process.
- Review the final accreditation self study report.
3. BUDGET
- Review recommendations from the College Consultation Council regarding budget development.
4. PLANNING/RESEARCH
- Review recommendations from the College Consultation Council regarding the Strategic Plan.
- Review recommendations from the College Consultation Council regarding the Master Educational Plan.
5. PROGRAM REVIEW
- Review recommendations from the College Consultation Council for discontinuance of programs.
6. STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Review recommendations from the College Consultation Council for using student learning outcomes assessment results to improve student learning.
7. TECHNOLOGY
- Review recommendations from the College Consultation Council for technology use.
